the garden’s story
For 35 years, I have had the privilege of nurturing Cricklewood, a cherished botanical haven, as its owner and steward. My journey was shaped by the wisdom of European landscape designer Robin Williams and John Brooks, whose transformative class at the historic Clewes Castle in the Chateau de la Napoule Museum in France inspired me to see landscapes as living art. Their guidance empowered me to craft breathtaking projects across the West Coast, blending nature's beauty with thoughtful design.
The heart of Cricklewood lies in its retail offerings, where we curate exquisite floral arrangements, handcrafted pottery, and unique gifts that celebrate the spirit of growth and creativity. Our commitment is to always seek out the extraordinary, ensuring every piece tells a story of nature's elegance. I am endlessly grateful for our dedicated staff, who pour their passion into showcasing our treasures and tending to every customer's needs with care. A special nod goes to Yoli, our greenhouse manager, whose expertise brings our greenhouse to life with a vibrant array of houseplants, from towering beauties to petite wonders, all thriving in the heart of Kern County.
